The Role

We’re hiring a Finance Lead to take ownership of financial operations, reporting, and revenue visibility across the business. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role responsible for:

  • Ensuring financial accuracy
  • Protecting margin across contracts
  • Building forward-looking financial insight (ARR, runway, renewals)
  • Creating structure across contracts, billing, and reporting

You will manage multiple entities, oversee bookkeeping resources, and partner with leadership, the CFO, and external advisors.

This role is ideal for someone who doesn’t just report numbers—but understands the business behind the numbers and drives financial discipline.

What You’ll Do

Own Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Own end-to-end financial management across multiple entities
  • Build and maintain accurate financial reporting, forecasts, and budgets
  • Develop financial models and projections in Google Sheets
  • Provide clear, timely, and actionable financial visibility to leadership

Contract, Revenue & Margin Oversight (Critical)

  • Review contracts (FFP, T&M, milestone-based) to ensure proper pricing, billing, and margin protection
  • Align financials with contract terms to eliminate revenue leakage
  • Track contract value, billing status, and delivery milestones
  • Report and refine project-level margins, improving accuracy and insight
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability across contracts

Revenue Intelligence (ARR, TCV, Renewals)

  • Track and manage ARR vs non-recurring revenue
  • Build visibility into contract renewal timelines and proactively flag risk
  • Partner with leadership to ensure renewals are identified early and supported
  • Understand and report on TCV (Total Contract Value) and revenue realization
  • Analyze revenue trends and growth patterns

Accounts Receivable & Collections

  • Own AR processes, invoicing, and collections
  • Track milestone-based payments and ensure timely follow-up
  • Identify and resolve gaps between delivery and billing

Cash Flow, Run Rate & Liquidity Management

  • Provide clear visibility into cash flow, burn rate, and runway
  • Proactively communicate when the business may face cash constraints
  • Actively manage liquidity and optimize allocation of funds
  • Identify opportunities to move capital into higher-yield accounts or instruments

Expense Management & Financial Discipline

  • Build and enforce expense management processes
  • Implement systems for reviewing and validating expenses across departments
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and eliminate unnecessary spend
  • Drive automation of expense reporting and approvals

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop two bookkeeping resources
  • Introduce structure, accountability, and improved workflows
  • Elevate the overall quality and reliability of financial operations

Systems & Process Development

  • Own and improve financial systems, including:
  • QuickBooks (core accounting system)
  • HubSpot (pipeline and projections alignment)
  • Ensure alignment between pipeline, contracts, delivery, and financial reporting
  • Improve and evolve project-level reporting and financial visibility
  • Help design ERP-like capabilities connecting delivery to finance

Tax, Intercompany & Strategic Finance

  • Coordinate with external tax professionals and CFO on tax strategy and optimization
  • Manage intercompany financials and structure
  • Identify opportunities for tax efficiency and financial optimization

Confidential Financial Management

  • Handle highly sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity
  • Support executive-level financial matters, including investments and loans

What We’re Looking For

  • 6–10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or controller-level roles
  • Strong understanding of contract-based revenue (FFP, T&M, milestone billing)
  • Experience managing ARR, renewals, and revenue forecasting
  • Proven ability to build structure in unstructured environments
  • Strong financial modeling skills (Google Sheets or Excel)
  • Experience managing AR, collections, and financial operations end-to-end

Experience working with:

  • QuickBooks
  • CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) for pipeline/forecast alignment
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior finance/bookkeeping staff
  • Ability to operate independently and proactively identify issues
  • High integrity and discretion with sensitive financial data

Nice to Have

  • CPA or formal accounting background
  • Experience in defense, cybersecurity
  • Experience implementing financial systems or ERP tools
  • Familiarity with tax strategy and working with external advisors

What Success Looks Like (First 6–9 Months)

  • Accurate, reliable financial reporting and forecasting in place
  • Full visibility into ARR, renewals, and revenue pipeline
  • No revenue leakage – contracts, delivery, and billing fully aligned
  • Clear run rate, burn, and cash runway visibility
  • Project-level margin reporting refined and actionable
  • AR and collections operating efficiently
  • Bookkeeping team structured, accountable, and effective
  • Strong alignment between HubSpot pipeline and financial projections

Who This Role Is Not For

  • Someone who only manages books rather than owning financial outcomes
  • Someone who waits for direction instead of identifying and solving problems
  • Someone uncomfortable working across contracts, delivery, and operations
  • Someone who avoids accountability or difficult financial conversations
  • Someone who prefers maintaining systems over building and improving them

Why Join Ignyte

  • High ownership and autonomy
  • Direct impact on financial performance and company growth
  • Opportunity to build and shape the finance function
  • Work closely with leadership in a complex, high-value industry
