Iron Bank is a containerization certification process created by the DOD. It involves certifying and listing containerized applications for use in DOD systems.  Iron Bank was developed by Platform One, and provides services for software development, such as Cloud Native Access Point (CNAP), Custom Developed Services, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), multi-level security data transfer (Cross Domain SOlutions, Diodes), Cloud Native DNS, Collaboration tools, (e.g. Jira, Confluence), Identity Management (SSO, PKI). 

 

Applicability: 

  • Certifies containerized applications for cloud-native environments.
  • Issues a Certificate to Field (CTF) for certified applications.
  • Facilitates the secure deployment of cloud-native technologies.
